About the RoleThe Asbestos Surveyor plays a key role within City Building's Asbestos Section, supporting compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR 2012) and ensuring asbestos risks are effectively identified, assessed and managed.
Working in accordance with HSE guidance (HSG
264) and established technical procedures, you will carry out asbestos surveys and bulk sampling across occupied and void properties, as well as communal and non-domestic areas.
You will provide professional advice and recommendations to colleagues and external clients, complete site-specific risk assessments, accurately record survey findings and maintain detailed site documentation.
This role also involves participating in training, audits and continuous improvement activities, whilst supporting the wider needs of the business through quality checking, administrative tasks and collaboration with other surveyors and trades.
What You Will BringYou will be a fully trained and competent Asbestos Surveyor with proven practical experience gained within a UKAS-accredited organisation.
A full, clean driving licence is essential, along with a P402 (Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings) and/or RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Surveying qualification.
You will have detailed knowledge of asbestos surveying techniques within occupied domestic properties and communal areas, together with a strong understanding of asbestos legislation, regulations and guidance, particularly HSG

In addition, you will bring excellent attention to detail, a methodical and safety-focused approach, strong organisational and record-keeping skills, and the ability to provide expert advice and support to a range of stakeholders.
