Nordic Region | Data Centre Construction | Permanent

Salary:
Up to €110,000 depending on experience and responsibility

The Opportunity

Peace Recruitment is recruiting an experienced

Environmental Health & Safety Manager

to join

the delivery team on a major

Data Centre project in the Nordic region

.

This is a key site

-

based position on a large

-

scale, technically demanding construction project,

with responsibility for ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the project's

Environmental, Health & Safety procedures, statutory legislation and industry best practice

.

Reporting to the EHS Lead, you'll work closely with project management, site teams and

subcontractors to drive high standards of safety performance across the project.

The position would suit an experienced construction EHS professional looking to take on a

significant international project and further develop their career within the rapidly expanding

European data centre sector.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee project compliance with the established

Environmental, Health & Safety

Management System

.

Develop, implement and maintain

Construction Stage Health & Safety Plans

.

Prepare and analyse

H&S performance reports, statistics and metrics

for management

review.

Keep senior

project management informed of ongoing EHS initiatives, performance and

progress.

Ensure compliance with all relevant

Environmental, Health & Safety legislation and

statutory requirements

.

Support the development and implementation of project

-

specific

Environmental,

Health & Safety Plans

.

Oversee and support the preparation of

method statements, risk assessments, Safe

Plans of Action and permit

-

to

-

work systems

.

Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with agreed safety standards and

procedures.

Promote and maintain a strong, proactive

safety culture

across the project.

Manage

COSHH assessments

and ensure appropriate control measures are

implemented.

Ensure safety observations, interventions and corrective actions are appropriately

recorded, tracked and closed out.

Carry out regular

site inspections and EHS audits

, documenting findings and ensuring

corrective actions are completed.

Maintain accurate records of statutory inspections and associated safety

documentation.

Proactively identify, assess and mitigate

EHS risks

across the project.

Monitor and manage

subcontractor EHS compliance

.

Coordinate and manage

site EHS inductions and training programmes

.

Ensure appropriate PPE requirements are maintained across the project.

Lead or support

incident and accident investigations

, ensuring findings are

appropriately documented, reported and communicated.

Work collaboratively with project management, construction teams and subcontractors

to continuously improve EHS performance.

Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will ideally have:

A degree in

Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline

.

A minimum of

5 years' EHS management experience

within large

-

scale construction

projects.

Previous

Data Centre experience is highly desirable

.

Strong knowledge of relevant

Health & Safety legislation and industry standards

.

A proven ability to manage EHS requirements across a complex construction

environment.

Experience managing and influencing subcontractors and site teams.

Strong knowledge of

risk assessments, method statements, permit systems,

inspections and audits

.

Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

Strong proficiency in

Microsoft Office and EHS reporting systems

.

The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary

teams.

A flexible approach to project demands and changing priorities.

A strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of

Health, Safety and

Environmental performance
