An established and growing construction business is looking to appoint an Estimator/Senior Estimator to join its team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator looking to take the next step in their career, or a Senior Estimator seeking a new challenge within a progressive construction environment.
The RoleWorking as part of the commercial team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a range of construction projects. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure projects are accurately priced and commercially viable.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparingdetailedestimatesandtendersfromdrawings,specificationsandotherprojectinformation
- Reviewingtenderdocumentationandidentifyingrisks,opportunitiesandvalue-engineering options
- Obtainingandassessingquotationsfromsubcontractorsandsuppliers
- Completingdetailedtake-offsandcostanalysis
- Preparingcompetitiveandaccuratetendersubmissions
- Liaisingwithclients,consultantsandsubcontractorsthroughoutthetenderprocess
- Supportingthecommercialteamwithpricingstrategiesandcostplanning
- Maintainingstrongrelationshipswithsubcontractors,suppliersandclients
- Contributingtothecontinuedgrowthandsuccessofthebusiness
Weareopentocandidatesoperatingat Estimatorthroughto Senior Estimator level ,withtheroleandresponsibilitiestailoredaccordingtoyourexperience.
You will ideally have:
- Previousestimatingexperiencewithintheconstruction/building sector
- Strongknowledgeofconstructionmethods,materialsandcosts
- Theabilitytointerpretdrawings,specificationsandtenderdocumentation
- Experienceproducingaccuratecostestimatesandtendersubmissions
- Strongcommercialawarenessandattentiontodetail
- Excellentcommunicationandnegotiationskills
- Theabilitytoworkindependentlywhilealsocontributingeffectivelytoawiderteam
