Hays are delighted to be working with a leading independent construction and property consultancy to appoint a Project Manager within its Glasgow team.

This established consultancy delivers project, cost and infrastructure management services across the built environment and has developed a strong reputation for providing independent advice and professional expertise to clients across a diverse range of sectors. Its work spans areas including commercial offices, residential, education, healthcare, life sciences, logistics and industrial, retail and leisure, hotels and hospitality, transport, utilities, sports and venues, energy, defence, heritage and cultural projects.

Operating across the UK and internationally, the business combines technical expertise with a collaborative, partner-led approach to project delivery. As a result, Project Managers have the opportunity to contribute to a varied portfolio of developments and infrastructure programmes while working alongside experienced specialists from across the wider consultancy.

This role would suit an ambitious Project Manager seeking exposure to a broad range of projects, clients and sectors within a respected consultancy environment.

Salary is in the region of 40,000 - 50,000 and further package details can be discussed as part of the application process.

Your new role
As a Project Manager, you will support the successful delivery of construction and property projects from inception through to completion, acting as a key link between clients, consultants and project stakeholders.

Working as part of an established project management team, you will be involved in planning, coordinating and monitoring project delivery, helping to ensure schemes are delivered in line with programme, cost and quality objectives. You will contribute to client-facing activities, support project reporting and assist in managing project risks, governance and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Given the consultancy's breadth of services and sector coverage, you may have the opportunity to work across a variety of built environment and infrastructure projects, providing a diverse and engaging workload.

You will be joining a collaborative professional environment that values strong client relationships, technical excellence and proactive problem-solving.

What you'll need to succeed
Essential

  • Previous experience in a Project Management role within the construction, property or built environment sector.
  • Experience supporting or managing the delivery of construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and coordination abilities.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and professional approach to project delivery.
  • Degree qualification in a construction, property or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Desirable

  • Consultancy-side project management experience.
  • Experience working across multiple sectors within the built environment.
  • Knowledge of project governance, risk management and procurement processes.
  • Progression towards, or membership of, a relevant professional body.
