Senior Quantity Surveyor

Volker Stevin is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a long-term project or framework in Helensburgh. The permanent role is primarily based at the Glasgow city-centre office, with occasional site visits to Helensburgh. The successful applicant will manage commercial and contractual matters and supervise surveyors or assistant surveyors on the allocated work.

Responsibilities include assessing main-contract conditions and subcontract packages, identifying tender risks and examining value-engineering opportunities. During delivery, the surveyor will maintain site records, prepare monthly valuations and commercial reports, analyse costs and check subcontract payments. The posting also covers revenue opportunities, scope risks and commercial involvement in programming matters.

Subcontract scope, measurement, supporting records, liabilities and accruals form part of the role, alongside tracking warranties, parent-company guarantees and bonds. Applicants need Senior Quantity Surveyor experience and a quantity-surveying degree with relevant experience. The employer lists professional accreditation through RICS, CIOB or ICES.

British nationality is required for security reasons, and security clearance is a prerequisite to any offer. These eligibility conditions apply to this vacancy.
