Job Description & How to Apply Below

Soben, part of Accenture Construct, is looking for an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our Glasgow team, supporting the delivery of a major long-term utilities and infrastructure framework.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing commercial team delivering critical infrastructure projects across the UK. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in utilities, power, electrical transmission, renewable energy, substations, or major infrastructure programmes. Working closely with clients and delivery partners, you will provide commercial leadership across a portfolio of projects, ensuring effective cost management, contract administration, forecasting, risk management, and change control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial activities across multiple infrastructure and utilities projects.
  • Manage NEC contracts, compensation events, variations, and contractor accounts.
  • Produce cost reports, forecasts, and commercial recommendations for key stakeholders.
  • Support procurement activities, contract negotiations, and supplier management.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities to maximise project value.
  • Collaborate with project managers, planners, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.

About You

You'll have strong Quantity Surveying experience within infrastructure, utilities, energy, or major capital projects, together with a solid understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts. You'll be a confident communicator with excellent commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is preferred, and professional membership with RICS or a similar institution would be advantageous.

As part of Accenture Construct, you'll work on some of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes while benefiting from industry-leading training, structured career development, and access to a global network of experts. This is a fantastic opportunity to accelerate your career and play a key role in delivering projects that support the UK's future infrastructure and energy networks.

If you're looking for your next challenge in a growing business with global reach, we'd love to hear from you.
