Are you a natural organiser with a passion for media? The Junior Production Coordinator Apprenticeship at the BBC could be your perfect start. You may help with the set‑up of filming on location or in the studio for one of our programmes like The One Show, or schedule crews and freelancers for Women’s Hour. No media experience or qualifications needed – just enthusiasm and problem‑solving skills.
YourKey Responsibilities and Impact
- Book travel and accommodation for presenters, contributors, and crew
- Assist with shoots, studio set‑ups, and preparing call sheets
- Work on location, in studios, galleries, and BBC offices
- Learn and apply best practices in production management, health & safety, and compliance
On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be able to apply for job roles such as a Production Management Assistant, Production Secretary or Production Coordinator, depending on experience both inside and outside of the BBC.

This scheme is aimed at non‑graduates. If you have a degree and are interested in similar roles at the BBC, we recommend applying for jobs on the BBC careers site or looking at other apprenticeship schemes.
Eligibility Criteria- Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship begins in September 2026
- Be legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship
- Not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme, whether with the BBC or another organisation
- For candidates under the age of 19 years at the start of the apprenticeship, you must have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above or National 5 (Scotland) at C or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent qualification. If you have not achieved these qualifications, you will be required to achieve Functional Skills Level 2 before the end of your apprenticeship when you take your end‑point assessment
- Be passionate about the production management side of making content. If it’s the ‘coming up with ideas for content’ side you like, then the Production Apprenticeship will be more suitable for you.
- No prior learning is required to apply. If you already have relevant experience or qualifications, your individual learning plan may be adjusted to reflect this – meaning you could complete your apprenticeship in less time
