Specialist Factual Productions within BBC Studios produces premium content in four key genres:
History, Arts, Music & Culture. We work with UK broadcasters including the BBC, Sky and Channel 4 as well as international clients such as Disney, Sky Docs and PBS. Recent titles from our unit include Tucci in Italy, Lucy Worsley Investigates, Renaissance:

As an apprentice you'll support production teams behind the scenes, helping to bring these stories to life through planning, logistics, and coordination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT

As a Junior Production Coordinator apprentice with Specialist Factual Production, this is a brilliant opportunity to learn, grow and contribute. You may demonstrate the following:

  • Assist the production team with setting up shoots, crew bookings, travel logistics, and call sheets
  • Support budget management, accurately tracking expenditure
  • Collate accurate information to help complete the delivery of post‑production documentation
  • Work on Either location in studios and across our BBC offices
  • Learn best practices in production management, health & safety compliance, and sustainability

On successful completion, you will be able to apply for roles such as Production Management Assistant, Production Secretary, or Production Coordinator, depending on experience inside and outside of the BBC.
