Glasgow (Office based). Proposed Salary Range: £29,000 - £34,833 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

Work across a diverse portfolio of programmes, including Gaelic children’s output, The Mod '26, and BBC coverage at the Edinburgh Festivals.

The Gaelic Department in Pacific Quay, Glasgow delivers wide ranging multi-genre programmes for BBC Alba. The Alba Children’s team creates over 60 hours of Children’s content each year for BBC Alba. This output, combined with various outreach projects, ensures the team is constantly busy.

The Mod 2026 on BBC Alba will provide extensive coverage of the competitions and we offer live TV across 6 days. We require a dynamic, multitasking PC to join our team with excellent knowledge of The Mod. As part of the contract candidates who work on ‘The Mod 2026’ will also be expected to work on BBC Scotland output on the Edinburgh Festival, arranging accommodation, travel, schedules and supporting radio production teams.

• Organise travel and accommodation for crew, presenters, external suppliers and contributors for filming.
• Raise Smartbooks/Requisition s and purchase orders for production spend and ensure running costs are updated and accurate.
• Liaise with BBC departments to ensure Studio, Craft and Post-production personnel are booked and kept informed of all planned and any schedule changes for filming.
• Ensure Albert documentation is collected and delivered on time and that the production is as sustainable as possible.
• Ensure TX schedules are updated and relayed to the team.
• Complete all post-production paperwork using Silver mouse.

• Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective relations with a wide range of contacts both internal and external to the BBC.
• Attention to detail especially when comparing and updating TX schedules.
• Excellent knowledge of The Mod or Alba Children’s output on BBC Alba.
• Experience of working in a fast paced studio or OB large-scale production team possessing excellent organisational and forward-planning skills.
• Experience of BBC systems such as Smartbook and Ariba, Albert and Silver mouse.

• Gaelic language.
