Newspaper Club is an on-demand printing company helping individuals and brands create and publish their own newspapers. Since 2009, they’ve made printing accessible to everyone, from first-time creators to world-renowned brands like Fred Perry, Mailchimp, Tate, and Magnum Photographers. Their platform celebrates print as a medium for storytelling and creativity, with a strong commitment to sustainability.

Newspaper Club is seeking a freelance Social Media Manager to bring their brand to life online. Working closely with the Brand and Community Manager, this role combines hands-on content creation with community engagement, building conversations, showcasing customer stories, and amplifying the voice of print in the digital space.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow social media platforms (Instagram, Tik Tok, Linked In, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Develop engaging content aligned with the brand and current trends
  • Foster a creative community by interacting with followers and identifying brand advocates
  • Create and edit visual/video content optimized for each platform
  • Support monthly photoshoots and assist with design tweaks (emails, posts, templates)
  • Monitor performance metrics and report insights to improve content strategies
  • Uphold Newspaper Club’s ethical and environmental communication standards
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a social media or digital content role
  • Proficiency in Canva, Photoshop, and Cap Cut
  • Strong understanding of platform algorithms and audience engagement tactics
  • Portfolio demonstrating digital design and content execution
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Passion for print media, design, and community building
  • Flexible freelance schedule (2-3 days per week)
