New Ground – Access in Process, created to give disabled artists the opportunity to explore developing accessible new work.
BOP are seeking a freelance Producer for our works-in-progress event:
New Ground – Access in Process. New Ground is a development project and sharing event. This project has been created to give disabled artists the opportunity to explore creating new work with Creatively Embedded Access*.
The producer will be responsible for producing the work-in-progress event on Saturday 21st November, which will consist of three 20-minute performances with feedback sessions and networking time. The event will be held at The Boardwalk in central Glasgow, where BOP also has an office space.
In addition to producing the overall event, the producer will work to support two New Ground works-in-progress which have been selected for this opportunity. The third work-in-progress by BOP Young Artists will be produced mainly through the BOP core staff team.
BOP particularly encourages and will prioritise applications from disabled applicants, but it is not a requirement.
* Creatively Embedded Access is the practice of embedding access support such as captions, sign language interpretation, audio description and relaxed principles into performance work. The access becomes part of the art.
Job Details:- Dates: 19th Oct – 11th Dec 2026
- Fee: £2,400 based on 12 days at £200. This is a fixed-term freelance post and you are responsible for your own tax.

Varying. Flexible hours required. Some evenings and weekends required. - Location:
Glasgow. Hybrid working is possible, but the producer will need to work in person in Glasgow during the production period of 20th and 21st November.
