Relay UK Call Handler - Make Every Word Count

Location:

Glasgow (G2 8LA
).

Pay: £13.97 - £32.55 per hour (shift‑dependent).

Hours:

37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7 (incl. weekends & bank holidays).

Start Date:

20/07/2026.

Training: 4 weeks full‑time training (100% attendance required).

• Real‑Time Communication:
  Convert spoken words into text instantly and accurately.
• Support Relay UK calls and Directory Enquiries (118500).
• Communicating With Care:
  Stay calm, patient, and empathetic during difficult or emotional calls, providing a reliable lifeline for users.
• Attention to Detail:
  Ensure precision and accuracy, especially in urgent situations.

• Outstanding Typing Skills (Essential):
  Must type 50+ WPM at 98% accuracy.
• Typing will be tested during the application process.
• Attributes: clear, empathetic communicator, able to stay composed under pressure, strong attention to detail, able to follow processes and think critically.
• Shift Patterns:
  Shifts from 6am to 11pm; may include weekends.
