PositionSummary
Applications are invited for a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry. This is a Locum 0.5 WTE post (5PA) at Glasgow Dental Hospital and School, the largest provider of specialist oral healthcare in Scotland. The post is fixed term for 12 months, with a shift pattern to be confirmed. Salary is pro rata for part‑time hours.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment primarily for Periodontics and Endodontics services.
- Give advice and develop treatment plans for referring practitioners and, where appropriate, deliver treatment.
- Actively contribute to the teaching and training of postgraduate dentists to specialist level.
- Engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, quality improvement activity and research participation.
- Perform clinical activity in other restorative disciplines as service demands arise.
- Full GDC registration and completion of Specialist Training, with the GDC Restorative Dentistry Specialist Register (or a CCST date within six months of interview).
- High level knowledge and expertise in Restorative Dentistry, particularly in Periodontics and Endodontics.
- Experience in teaching postgraduate dentists at specialist level is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
