Job Description

Purpose of the role:
Create user‑centred and visually appealing designs for digital banking products through user research, interface design, collaboration with stakeholders and continuous improvement.

About the Role

Join us as a Senior UX Researcher in the PBWM division, tasked with bringing the voice of the user to the design and development of digital banking products by conducting user research and delivering insights to shape strategic decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct user research and usability tests to understand customer needs and pain points.
  • Integrate feedback and preferences into banking products and services in collaboration with product managers and developers.
  • Create intuitive, user‑friendly interfaces for digital banking platforms and applications.
  • Design and maintain visually appealing and consistent user interfaces aligned with the bank’s brand identity and design guidelines.
  • Develop wireframes and interactive prototypes for visualisation and testing of product concepts and features before development.
  • Ensure accessibility compliance, providing an inclusive experience for all users.
  • Monitor industry trends, design best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve product design and innovation.
  • Advise and influence decision‑making, contribute to policy development and operational effectiveness as an Assistant Vice President.
  • Collaborate with other functions and business divisions, lead complex tasks, set objectives, coach employees, and perform performance appraisal.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviours: listen and be authentic, energise and inspire, align across the enterprise, develop others.
  • Consult on complex issues, mitigate risk, develop policies and procedures, and strengthen controls.
Qualifications
  • Strong skills in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and insights playback and delivery skills.
  • Ability to influence and shape business and product strategy.
  • Experience in data platforms, shaping propositions, and financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a large organisation and on cross‑functional projects.
