* Hours:

Night Shift - 6:30/7:30 start - 9.25 hours a day - 4 day week Monday-Thursday / 37 hours per week
** Due to demand we’re looking for a technician to join our team in Glasgow to Support us in the manufacturing process and test of multiple military based products. We are looking to expand the night shift.
** Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
*** Optical alignment and construction of optical subassemblies
* Complex optical bonding using a mixture of optical adhesives
* Optical handing and cleaning
* Analysis of optical components using interferometers etc.
* Calibration of optical subassemblies and  tooling
* Work in multi-disciplinary teams
** About you
*** A good understanding of general physics
* Good practical and experimental skills
* Inquisitiveness – ability to question results and then answer those questions
* Self-motivated and capable of working alone and within teams
* Good written and oral communication skills to allow effective communication with peers, and both technical and non-technical customers.
** Desirable
* ** Knowledge of optical instruments
* Knowledge of interferometry
* Knowledge of mechanical engineering
* Experience with opto- mechanical components and manufacture.
* Optical handing and cleaning
* Optical bonding
