Shape the future of healthcare, life sciences and advanced laboratory environments.

If you’re a Part II Architectural Assistant who thrives on purposeful design, technical challenge and projects that genuinely improve lives, this Glasgow role offers the perfect platform to grow.

Confero Recruitment Group is working with an award‑winning architectural practice delivering some of Scotland’s most advanced healthcare, life sciences and laboratory facilities. These are projects where architecture directly influences patient outcomes, scientific discovery and the performance of highly specialised environments.

This is a chance to develop your career in a sector that is expanding rapidly and to work within a studio that invests heavily in digital design, technical excellence and long‑term professional growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of major healthcare, clinical and life‑science projects across Scotland.
  • Support senior architects in developing concept designs, technical packages and coordinated BIM models.
  • Produce drawings, visualisations and documentation for complex, high‑performance environments.
  • Engage with clinicians, scientists, engineers and specialist consultants to understand the unique demands of healthcare and lab design.
  • Build confidence across RIBA stages, gaining hands‑on experience that will set you up strongly for Part III.
What We’re Looking For
  • RIBA Part II qualification with a strong, design‑led portfolio.
  • Genuine interest in healthcare, science, technology or highly technical building typologies.
  • Strong digital skills. Revit experience is ideal, but other BIM platforms are welcome.
  • Curiosity, initiative and a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Right to work in the UK is essential.
Why This Role Stands Out
  • Work on cutting‑edge healthcare and scientific facilities shaping the future of patient care and research.
  • Join a supportive, design‑driven studio with a reputation for technical rigour and digital excellence.
  • Clear progression pathway toward Part III qualification.
  • Exposure to complex, meaningful projects that will accelerate your development far faster than traditional commercial or residential work.
  • A culture that values innovation, precision and the impact architecture can have on society.
Ready to build a career with purpose?

If you’re a Part II looking for a role where your work truly matters, and where you can grow within one of Scotland’s most forward‑thinking sectors, we’d love to hear from you.
