As a Senior Architect, you will have the opportunity to lead high-profile projects from concept through to completion, working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment and alongside a national and international network of design professionals. You will play a key role in shaping design outcomes, developing client relationships, and mentoring future talent.

Your role
  • Lead architectural projects through all stages, from concept design to completion.
  • Provide design and technical leadership across projects of varying scale and complexity.
  • Manage, mentor, and inspire project teams through strong and inclusive leadership.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and specialist advisors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop innovative design solutions that respond to client, site, environmental, and contextual requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development and new opportunities.
  • Lead and contribute to bids, proposals, and client presentations.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review project outputs, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement in design quality and delivery.
  • Work closely with the Studio Lead to support team development, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the growth of the Glasgow practice.
About You
  • RIBA Part 3 qualified and ARB registered Architect.
  • Significant experience delivering complex architectural projects across multiple sectors and project stages.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction methodologies, and technical design.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from concept through planning, technical design, construction, and completion.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and client relationships.
  • Strong mentoring and leadership skills with experience supporting the development of junior team members.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and visualisation software such as Enscape or V-Ray.
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, programmes, and deliverables.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and design-focused professional committed to delivering high-quality and innovative architectural solutions.
  • Accredited Conservation Architect status.
  • Proven track record in business development, bid leadership, and securing new work.
