NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. We are seeking to appoint a clinical fellow in general and colorectal surgery, at a level commensurate to an ST7 or greater and should be post‑FRCS.

The post is based within the Department of Surgery, Glasgow Royal Infirmary but the fellow may also have clinical commitments at Stobhill ACH. The GRI provides subspecialist sarcoma, advanced pelvic oncology, intestinal failure, HPB and oesophago‑gastric surgical services. There is also a strong robotic colorectal practice and input into the twice‑weekly multispecialty Gynaecological Oncology operating lists.

• Experience in emergency general surgery.
• Colorectal subspecialty interest.
• Contribute to the on‑call general surgical registrar rota (1:15 full shift).

The post is available until August 2026 in the first instance, but there exciting possibility to extend.

Recruitment process

The CREST form must be completed by a consultant who has worked with you for a minimum continuous period of three months whole‑time equivalent wholly within the 3.5 years prior to the advertised post startxee for which you are applying.
