Position OverviewAn exciting opportunity exists for a Locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon, with sub‑specialty interest in skin cancer to join the team within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Plastic Surgery Unit. The Unit currently has 27 Consultants and provides the entire spectrum of plastic and reconstructive subspecialty services excluding craniofacial surgery and has a large workload of general plastic surgery. It is internationally recognised and runs a variety of teaching courses every year.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the skin cancer excision and reconstruction programme. Candidates should have experience in the management of benign and malignant skin lesions, including Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy, nodal dissections and extensive experience in skin lesion excision and reconstruction. The successful candidate will have a clearly defined elective job plan and will be based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI).
Qualifications and Requirements- Full GMC Registration and a licence to practise.
- Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.
- UK‑trained candidates should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
