RoleSummary
The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre is looking to appoint six Clinical Development Fellows – two starting in February 2025 for 12 months and four from August 2025. The programme provides training in all aspects of oncology and opportunities for palliative medicine and clinical haematology placements. Under the supervision of the oncology consultants and specialty trainees, the fellows will participate in the management of patients with cancer at a ward level.
Opportunities also exist for access to outpatient clinics, radiotherapy, an Acute Oncology Assessment Unit and an Enhanced Care Unit.
Monday to Friday with day, backshift, nights and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities- Manage patients with cancer at a ward level under supervision of oncology consultants.
- Access outpatient clinics, radiotherapy, Acute Oncology Assessment Unit and Enhanced Care Unit.
- Complete at least one audit project and present it at a national or international meeting during the fellowship.
- Desirable: MRCP (UK/I) or equivalent by commencement of post.
- Experience in oncology, palliative medicine or clinical haematology is advantageous.
Fellows have the opportunity to enhance their CV through specific interview technique advice from senior consultants, regular meetings with supervisors, and by completing audit projects that may be presented at national or international meetings.

The CREST form must be completed by a consultant who has worked with you for a minimum continuous period of three months whole‑time equivalent wholly within the 3.5 years prior to the advertised post start date.
