Medical Staff Bank – NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

The West of Scotland Medical Staff Bank is an integrated service that provides temporary medical staffing cover across all grades and medical specialities to NHS Boards in the West of Scotland. Bank doctors can work additional hours either exclusively at the NHS Board they are employed at or gain access to hours at other West of Scotland NHS Boards.

• Doctor must be registered to practice in the United Kingdom and able to provide required supervision.
• Applicants who have not practised in the UK are not eligible to apply.
• Under the Skilled‑Worker visa–Healthcare worker visa, a bank doctor may work up to 20 hours per week, in addition to any current post, and must match the current grade and speciality.

Bank doctors provide temporary clinical cover in a variety of specialties, ensuring continuity of patient care, meeting quality standards, and supporting NHS Boards in meeting workforce needs.
