We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday with weekend and on call/overnight work pattern We are seeking applications for the position of Diabetes and Endocrinology Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI) and Stobhill Ambulatory Care Hospital (SACH). This is a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality consultant care in both in-patient and out-patient settings, with responsibilities that include acute medical receiving, participating in the medical specialties’ consultant on-call rota, and providing weekend ward cover.

You will also have the chance to lead sub-specialty outpatient clinics, focusing on complex conditions and supporting our innovative virtual service for patients with Diabetes and Endocrinology diseases.

This role offers the chance to contribute to a modern, consultant-led service within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHS GGC), one of the UK’s largest and most progressive Health Boards. You will work alongside specialist colleagues in a dynamic environment, helping to shape the future of Diabetes and Endocrinology care and patient pathways across our region.

Applicants must hold full GMC registration and a licence to practise. UK-trained candidates should provide evidence of training leading to CCT or CESR eligibility or be within six months of their expected completion date at the time of interview. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training. A valid driving licence is preferred.
