This hybrid post will be based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI) and the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH). Duties of this post will include an acute assessment ward and on-call work at GRI and Hospital at Home sessions based in the South of Glasgow. This post will be an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of hospital at home services in Glasgow.
On-call work will be based at GRI on a 1:16 weekday frequency and a 1:8 weekend frequency. Applicants must have full GMC Registration with a licence to practice and be on the GMC Specialist Register for geriatric medicine (or within 6 months of CCT) or CESR awarded. Experience in providing comprehensive geriatric assessment in a multi-disciplinary team is essential and applicants should have strong communication and leadership skills.
Hospital at home experience is desirable with opportunities to develop further in this role.
