The Victoria Practice is a friendly GP Surgery in Govanhill, with a current list size of 6700 patients. We’re looking for a 5 session GP to join our team. A short drive from Glasgow City Centre and with close links to the M8, Govanhill Health Centre provides an excellent working environment in the centre of one of Glasgow’s most diverse and dynamic communities - and just a short walk from a great coffee on Victoria Road!

Brief summary of the post:

• 15 minutes appointments
• EMIS/Docman (migrating to Vision January 2027)
• 6 weeks annual leave
• Medical Defence cost paid by practice
• No QOF/CQC
• Very few house calls, shared amongst team depending on workload
• Regular team meetings, MDT clinical meetings and full-practice PLT (Protected Learning Time)
• Golden Hello available for those who meet the criteria

We understand that a 'one size fits all' model doesn’t work and we have adapted how we deliver services to meet the varying needs of our community. As a team, we have worked hard (and continue to do so) to address health inequalities and reduce the barriers some patients face in accessing care.

You’ll be working alongside experienced GP partners and a well-integrated multidisciplinary team, with a management structure that is approachable and responsive. We are open to new ideas and encourage clinicians to shape how we deliver care, rather than simply fit into a rigid system.

We are committed to continuity of care and building meaningful relationships with our patients, while also recognising the need to work efficiently and protect clinician wellbeing.
