We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable GP Locum to join our friendly and supportive team at Springburn Health Centre for a 6-month fixed-term period , working 4 sessions per week .

Ideally, we are looking for someone who can work two full days, preferably Monday and Tuesday , although we are very happy to discuss alternative working days with the right candidate.

We are an established GP practice based within Springburn Health Centre , providing care to a diverse local population in North Glasgow.

Our clinical team currently includes:

• 4 GP Partners
• 2 Practice Nurses
• An experienced and supportive administrative team

Being based within a health centre gives us access to a range of additional services and facilities, including:

• Physiotherapy
• Other community and primary care services based within the health centre

We work closely as a multidisciplinary team and aim to provide a supportive environment in which clinicians can discuss cases, share workload and seek advice when required.

The post is for 4 GP sessions per week for an initial fixed term of 6 months .

The successful applicant will undertake routine general practice work and will be well supported by the wider practice team.

We place a strong emphasis on having a friendly, collaborative and supportive working environment . We recognise the pressures of modern general practice and aim to work together as a team rather than clinicians working in isolation.

The practice is also actively involved in the wider primary care community and engages with local GP Cluster activity and collaborative working across neighbouring practices .

We would particularly welcome applications from GPs who enjoy being part of a team and who are interested in contributing to the ongoing development of the practice.

We are also moving towards a more digitally enabled model of general practice and are currently implementing Foot Fall as a new route for patient contact with the practice . Foot Fall provides patients with a structured online “front door” through which they can submit clinical, administrative and routine enquiries, allowing requests to be directed to the most appropriate member of the practice team.
