The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
There are 2x permanent posts available: 1x 32 hours per week, 1x 40 hours per week.

Please note the salary is pro Rata for part time hours.

Greater Glasgow and Clyde is looking for an enthusiastic and hard working Consultant Pathologist who have, or are willing to develop, special interests in uropathology, breast pathology and gastrointestinal pathology. An interest in autopsy pathology would also be encouraged.

There are opportunities to contribute to other teams in the department such as haematopathology, head and neck pathology following discussion with Head of Service. This replacement post, based at the Laboratory Medicine Building within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Campus, will have shared responsibility with 50 consultant colleagues for the provision of specialist diagnostic pathology services.

We are one of the largest single site Pathology services in the UK, receiving over 108227 requests annually. We are committed to innovation including transition to full digitisation of histopathology services. The department is based in a modern laboratory building (2012) and provides local, regional and some national services. We are co-located and work closely with Molecular Diagnostics for the provision of integrated reporting.
