We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Glasgow, Scotland. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.
What will your responsibilities be?This role involves delivering specialist psychiatric care within CAMHS, including inpatient and community mental health team (CMHT) settings. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and overseeing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of safe and effective mental health services for children and adolescents. The postholder must hold Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status and will be expected to participate in clinical meetings, documentation, and service development initiatives.
Qualificationsand
Experience:
- GMC registration (essential)
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (essential)
- Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry, including CAMHS, inpatient, and CMHT settings
- Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
- Commitment to delivering patient-centred care
