Are you interested in a career in Childcare? We have an amazing opportunity to take on a Modern Apprentice for an excellent childcare setting. Working with children really is a career like no other. You have the chance to shape a young person's life, inspire their creative thought process and teach them skills they will use forever. Completing a Modern Apprenticeship will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Practitioner.

The successful applicant will be assisting senior practitioners and training under the general direction of the manager in a full‑time position.

• Setting up the play environment for a fun‑filled day of learning.
• Implementing planned learning experiences in line with the Curriculum for Excellence.
• Keeping children safe and well at all times.
• Assisting with snack, lunch and dinner.
• Playing outdoors in all weather.

The Modern Apprenticeship takes about 12 months to complete and you will work toward an SVQ 3 Social Services Children and Young People qualification. Once completed, you will become a fully qualified Childcare Practitioner.

You should demonstrate a desire to work within the Childcare sector and have some relatable experience. Ideally you will have one National 5 qualification including English. However, we understand that not everyone will have achieved this level of qualification and will take this into consideration. Anyone who has completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in Childcare will get direct access to the interview stage.

Having completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field is an advantage; you will need to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement.
