Job Title: Childcare Apprentice (Modern Apprenticeship)

We have an amazing opportunity to become a Modern Apprentice in an excellent childcare setting in Glasgow. Working with children is a career like no other. You will shape a young person's life, inspire their creative thought process and teach them skills they will use forever. Completing the Modern Apprenticeship will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Practitioner.

• Setting up the play environment for a fun‑filled day of learning
• Implement planned learning experiences in line with the Curriculum for Excellence
• Keep children safe and well at all times
• Assist with snack, lunch and dinner
• Play outdoors in all weather

This is a full‑time position. The Modern Apprenticeship takes candidates around 12 months to complete and you will be working towards an SVQ3 Social Services Children and Young People qualification; upon completion you will become a fully qualified Childcare Practitioner.

Ideally you will have one National 5 qualification including English. However, if you have not yet achieved this level, we will take it into consideration. A completed Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field gives you direct access to the interview stage. You should demonstrate a desire to work within the Childcare sector and have some form of relatable experience.
