0.8 FTE permanent – 28 hours per week
Salary Starting from £52,073 per annum (£41,658 pro rata)

We are looking for an inspirational leader to lead our world‑renowned Jazz department, facilitate a learning environment where students can fulfil their potential, spearhead local and international recruitment, and take the department forward to its next exciting step, while bolstering its great reputation for producing talent.

You will be:

an inspirational performer/teacher at the highest level, with international/national recognition combined with Principal Study teaching experience up to taught Masters and Doctoral levels in an HE or conservatoire setting.

• Experience of managing staff and budgets
• Experience of academic programme management and development
• Current profile as a practitioner within the performing arts and/or music education
• Ideally demonstrable experience of recruiting and maintaining home and international students, and/or active contribution to research and/or other modes of income generation in line with School of Music expectations
