SCIENCE TECHNICIANThe Science Technician role involves providing a wide variety of resources to support science lessons, especially student practical experiments and teacher demonstrations, including clearing up afterwards. The position includes student contact and requires some laboratory experience and/or relevant qualifications. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a secondary school environment and be willing to undertake an extended period of training to develop skills and experience further.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and provide resources for science lessons and practical experiments.
- Assist with teacher demonstrations and clear up equipment after lessons.
- Support students during practical work.
- Maintain and manage science laboratory equipment.
- Relevant laboratory experience and/or qualifications.
- Experience or interest in a secondary school setting.
An extended training period will be offered to acquire the necessary skills and experience.
