The Access, Equality and Inclusion Service leads that work through a whole-institution approach to address under-representation and advance equality of opportunity for all students and staff.

We seek a dynamic Equality and Diversity Manager to join the Access, Equality and Inclusion service, with significant experience of working within the Higher Education environment and who demonstrates a high level of competency, knowledge and expertise in equality and diversity. The post holder will develop the University's equality and diversity action plans and lead operational implementation of policies, guidance and training.

The role requires a thorough understanding of relevant legal and statutory requirements including those specified within the Equality Act 2010 and Public Sector Equality Duty. This post will play an active role in supporting sector-wide developments and innovation in people-centred policy and practice. The post holder will be able to evidence a strong track record of managing positive and constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level. Recognition is given to relevant professional qualifications in education and/or the HE sector. We also value practical experience across the learner journey and a wider understanding of the challenges and opportunities in working with individuals, communities and groups with protected characteristics.
