Salary: £709.91 per week (includes accommodation and meals).
Duration:
Summer 2026 (six‑day week, one day off per week).

Centre Manager & St Andrew’s College Management Team, Welfare Manager, Lead Child Protection Officer, Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Campus Welfare Coordinator (also known as Child Protection Officer in Scotland or Local Designated Safeguarding Lead in England).

- Read and understand the safeguarding policy, and know how to raise/report concerns following the chain of command
- Ensure that all students’ and staff equal‑rights entitlement is met
- Ensure all on‑site staff follow the behavioural code of conduct set out by St Andrew’s College Language Schools
- Ensure all staff receive required training and understand policies related to student safeguarding
- Ensure that all students follow the school’s code of conduct set out in the student contract
- Ensure all under‑18s have a purple lanyard, over‑18s a white lanyard, and staff without a completed disclosure check a lilac
- Ensure students and staff are notified and reminded of the online safety policy
- Ensure all students know the Welfare Coordinator and how/when to report to them during their stay
- Ensure any information disclosed to you is not kept private but shared with appropriate personnel
- Ensure all risk assessments are continually monitored
- Read and understand the supervision manual, staff handbook and all relevant policies for child welfare and protection
- Ensure students’ dietary requirements are met and cultures/respect are honoured
- Induct and liaise with staff regarding student pastoral care duties
- Help students adjust to life in the UK and understand personal safety, British law, culture, values and campus rules
- Organise and participate in student orientation and induction; ensure students receive keys, lanyard, and s on arrival
- Ensure Group Leaders supervise students effectively; oversee supervision and manage lights‑out duty when necessary
- Ensure all students attend their timetabled activity/class; liaise with Director of Studies/Activity Manager to maintain accurate registration; locate students if necessary
- Supervise students during free time when required
- Plan and organise pre‑arrival and departure checks, damage surveys, and assist the Centre Manager with damage deposits
- Organise and implement airport transfers for student arrivals and departures
- Ensure all emergency procedures are known and displayed in residences and the common room
- Handle health and safety issues in accommodation; oversee evacuation during fire drills/alarms
- Implement and monitor all St Andrew’s College Language Schools health and safety policies
- Maintain accurate rooming lists and conduct regular fire drills
- Build community spirit between accommodation groups via notice boards, halls of residence rules, and competitions
