Salary: £41,838 - £50,359 per annum (Candidates holding TQFE will commence on £48,227 per annum) pro-rata

Have you got a prior background in digital construction skills and an interest in developing the future workforce? The Built Environment Team at City of Glasgow College are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Construction Lecturer to join us.

This is your opportunity to use your industry knowledge to deliver high-quality learning and teaching, inspire students, and contribute to curriculum development aligned with employer and industry needs.

What You’ll Do:
  • Deliver engaging teaching sessions, including practical activities and classroom session that inspire and motivate students.
  • Develop and assess coursework, providing constructive feedback to support student progress and achievement.
  • Collaborate with employers to enhance curriculum design and ensure it meets current industry standards.
  • Use a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student performance and set clear targets to promote success.
  • Play a key role in ensuring students gain the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the construction industry.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in technical and professional roles within the construction industry, showcasing your practical expertise.
  • A strong track record of achieving excellent outcomes in learning, teaching, and assessment.
  • Experience in the following software;
    • Autodesk Revit (required)
    • Autodesk AutoCAD (required)
    • Autodesk True View or similar rendering software(s) (required)
    • Cyclone 3DR (preferred)
  • Site surveying experience would be preferred
  • Experience working with employers to develop industry-relevant curricula.
  • A solid understanding of current learning, teaching, and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Prior teaching experience, especially at an FE or HE level, would be advantageous.
Qualifications You’ll Need:
  • A TQFE (or equivalent) or a willingness to gain one through City of Glasgow College.
  • Relevant professional qualifications and/or demonstrable experience across multiple construction trades.
