The Faculty of Engineering at University of Strathclyde is one of the largest engineering faculties in the UK, and the largest in Scotland. As a leading international technological university, Strathclyde is recognised for its world class research, knowledge exchange and educational programmes. At the heart of this is the Faculty of Engineering which is home to over 6000 students (undergraduate, taught postgraduate and research postgraduate) that are studying with us on campus or remotely through our suite of flexible learning programmes.

Applications are invited from candidates seeking a challenging role in the Engineering Faculty Office. The Faculty Officer (Recruitment Marketing and Events) role is central to achieving the Faculty and University ambitions around student recruitment and tuition fee revenue growth. Situated in the Faculty’s International Development and Recruitment Team, key responsibilities for the post holder will be to lead on the design, development and delivery of Engineering’s recruitment marketing and conversion campaigns to increase applications to the Faculty’s UG and PGT course offering, and support the nurturing of prospects through the admissions process to enrolment.

To be considered for the role you will be educated to a minimum of degree level in a relevant subject or have substantial equivalent relevant experience. You will have demonstrable experience within a marketing role and a track record of planning, developing, managing and leading promotional and marketing activities. Marketing experience within Higher Education would be advantageous. Candidates will have excellent communication skills, strong personal presence, and well developed presentational skills with an ability to negotiate successful outcomes.

You will have an ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, securing engagement and support, and you will be able to work as part of a team, providing appropriate leadership when required.

This post is covering a member of staff while they are on maternity leave.
