Fixed Term Contract 24 th December 2026 (may be reviewed for extension), 35 Hours per week,
Salary: £41,838 - £50,359 per annum pro rata (Candidate holding TQFE will commence at £48,227 per annum pro rata)

The successful candidate will prepare, teach, assess, and act as an internal moderator in appropriate Navigational and other nautical subject areas. You will maintain all relevant course and learner documentation, along with accurate records of student attendance and performance. You will objectively evaluate courses and monitor student progress. You will provide advice and support to the students, meeting the needs of a diverse learner population.
To apply for this position you must possess maritime related experience at a management level either at sea or ashore. You must also possess a Chief Mates (or higher) Certificate of Competency (Unlimited) along with knowledge of Ship Operations, and preferably Ship Handling, at that level. A teacher’s qualification at TQFE award level or a similar qualification is desirable though not essential.
