Job PurposeWithin a clear and established teaching programme, contribute to the delivery of an excellentstudent experience by undertaking a range of teaching, assessment and administrative
duties at undergraduate level to further the understanding of key course topicsand assist students in drawing out key learning points from course materials.

Knowledge/Qualifications
Essential:
A1 Honours degree (SCQF Level 10) relevant to the teaching area or have expertise in a relevant field, together with an understanding of the principles of teaching, learning and assessment.
A2 A postgraduate qualification or equivalent, or current enrolment as a postgraduate research student.
A3 Appropriate level of knowledge and expertise in the subject specialism.
Skills
Essential:
C1 Excellent communications and language skills both oral and written.
C2 Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
C3 Time/project/ management skills as appropriate.
C4 Ability to work independently and as part of a team
C5 Ability to work with little supervision.
C6 Self-motivation.
C7 Ability to accept collegiate responsibilities and act accordingly.
Experience
Essential
E1 Participation in small group learning.
E2 Successful completion of previous year's APR, where appropriate.
Desirable:
F1 Successful completion of first year of postgraduate research degree.
F2 Previous teaching experience [though not essential as appropriate training provided].
