By playing music together in ensembles and orchestras, we aim to grow confidence, respect, teamwork and aspiration in the children, young people and communities we work with.
We deliver our work through six Big Noise programmes: in Govanhill in Glasgow, Raploch & Fallin in Stirling, Torry in Aberdeen, Douglas in Dundee and Wester Hailes in Edinburgh.
We are looking for a Support Worker to join our organisation as part of the dynamic team in Big Noise Govanhill, delivering a visionary, socially driven children’s orchestra centre. Big Noise Govanhill runs an after-school programme 4 days a week during term time and a holiday school 4 days a week during the Easter, summer and October holidays. The principal duties of a Support Worker at Big Noise Govanhill are to support Big Noise Musicians as they deliver the after-school programme;
participating in sessions, modelling engagement and attention for the children whilst building strong relationships with the children and families to assist them in maximising their potential.
This is a temporary post until the end of June 2027, working between 6 and 12 hours per week and between Monday and Thursday (exact hours and days of work to be agreed) term time only (40 weeks of the year).
