Job Purpose

As aStudent

Ambassador for the Schoolof Social and Political Sciences,you will represent the Schooland University of Glasgowtoprospective students from the UK andaround the world.

Youmust be a current master’s studentstudyingon a postgraduate taught programmewithinthe School of Social and Political Sciences.

What you will do:

You willsupportthe School’sStudent

Recruitment and Marketing teambyattendingeventsonlineand in-person,speaking with prospective students,sharing yourexperiencesandansweringquestions.

A keyaspectofthisrole will beleveragingyourcreativity,experience,and expertise to produce engagingcontentacross multiple channels,includingsocial media reels,Tik Tok videos, long-form video content,and occasional blog posts. You willcreateand deliver high-qualitycontentthat supports digital marketing and social media campaigns,helping to increase audience engagement and brand awareness.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Sharing your experiences of being a student at the School of Social & Political Sciences to help guide others in making their decision.

Engage with future students through online events,including webinars, mini lectures, and student panels,where you will shareyour experiences of your master’s programmeandstudentlife,participate in live Q&Asessions,andanswer questions from prospective students.

Attend in-person eventson anoccasionalbasis,representing the school and University and answer any questions from prospective students.

You will create interesting and easy-to-understand content like videos, and social media posts and occasional blogs to show what student life is like and promote the School of Social & Political Sciences.

You will participate in photo and video shoots that showcase the student experience and support the School’s promotional efforts.

As this is a casual worker role, you will have the chance to choose which content tasks you want to volunteer for each month in order to earn payment.

You will have to submit your timesheets each month so we can make sure you get paid on time.

You will report to the Student Recruitment Lead and the Digital Marketing Lead, who will review and approve your timesheets. Maintaining clear and regular communication will be key.
