Job Description & Responsibilities

Our Project and Cost Management team in Scotland has grown significantly in the last few years, attracting high‑performing individuals who want to progress their career and work on bespoke and interesting projects.

As a result, we are seeking a Project Manager with proven experience in a construction consultancy setting and a prior focus on projects within the Healthcare sector.

  • Manage complex Healthcare projects within Scotland, including:
  • Administrate the NEC4 suite of contracts.
  • Manage projects involving multiple services provided by AECOM.
  • Supervise all phases of projects from beginning to close out.
  • Work mostly independently, receiving basic instruction on specific assignments and objectives.
  • Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and seek supervisory approval on proposed plans.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Ideally from a consultancy or client organisation with the ability to successfully support and lead construction projects.
  • Pre and post contract design/project management expertise over the RIBA lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • NEC4 Contract Administration (accreditation if positive).
  • Maintain accurate project records (both paper and electronic).
  • Robust stakeholder management process.
Preferred Experience / Qualifications
  • Academic qualification – ideally a Master’s Degree in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
  • NEC 3/4 accreditation.
  • Chartered status with RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, APM or equivalent institution.
  • Clear understanding of NHS Scotland requirements, such as NHS Scotland processes, governance and compliance.
