As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Scheduler to join our Environment and Safety division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Scheduler to join our Environment & Safety team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
The tasks you will undertake include:
- Coordinate and optimise the scheduling of field‑based consultants across asbestos surveying and air monitoring operations.
- Ensure, where possible, the right resource is deployed to the right job at the right time with good communication maintained with key stakeholders in all scenarios.
- Maximise efficiency, utilisation, and commercial performance in line with commercial goals while supporting SOCOTEC's commitment to quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Understand competencies, operational requirements, and financial impact, making effective real‑time decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
To be a successful Scheduler, you should be able to demonstrate:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics, English, and a science‑based subject
- Strong numerical and analytical capability
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
- Ability to problem‑solve in a fast‑paced environment
