We are excited to be growing our team with the introduction of a Land Manager to play a central role in helping secure the land rights and stakeholder relationships needed for Muir Mhòr - one of Scotland’s major offshore wind projects, progressing towards delivery in the early 2030s. The position is based out of our Glasgow office on a hybrid basis, with regular travel across landfall, cable corridor and substation areas in Peterhead.

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Lead voluntary land agreement negotiations, including option agreements, servitudes and leases across the landfall, cable corridor and substation areas.
  • Work with external legal advisors to prepare, review and finalise land agreements.
  • Support the project's Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) strategy if needed by helping assess where statutory powers may be required if voluntary agreements cannot be secured, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and best‑practice land engagement.
  • Build trusted working relationships with landowners, tenants, agents and local stakeholders.
  • Coordinate landowner meetings and ensure clear communication throughout surveys and project development.
  • Help maintain a transparent, fair and constructive engagement process that supports community trust.
  • Arrange access for environmental, engineering, archaeological and geotechnical surveys.
  • Address and resolve access constraints in collaboration with landowners and survey teams.
  • Support efficient, safe and considerate on‑the‑ground operations.
  • Maintain accurate records, GIS data and land parcel mapping.
  • Support the preparation of planning and consenting documentation requiring land information.
  • Lead and manage agreements with other developers where landfall points, corridors or infrastructure locations intersect.
  • Provide regular reporting on risks, progress and upcoming land‑related milestones.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Strong experience in land management, rural surveying, utilities or major infrastructure.
  • Experience in renewable energy or linear infrastructure development (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Scottish land law and compulsory purchase processes (desirable).
  • Understanding of offshore wind development and consenting pathways (desirable).
  • Ability to interpret legal and technical documentation relating to land rights.
  • Strong organisational capability with experience managing multi‑party interactions.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience handling complex land agreements.
  • Skilled at building trust with landowners and external partners.
  • Pragmatic, resilient and able to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes.
  • Comfortable balancing detailed work with strategic project planning.
  • Clean driving licence for regular travel.

This is a permanent, full‑time role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
