Job Overview
Join our expanding Fire Risk Assessment Team in Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys field‑based work, wants to build a professional career in fire safety, and is motivated to learn.
LocationBetween Glasgow and Edinburgh (travel across Central Scotland required)
Salary & Benefits£27,000–£30,000 per annum + company car. Additional benefits: emergency first aid and Scottish Power training, Health and Safety Awareness Course (CSCS Card), authorised person training, ongoing professional development and mentoring, structured routes for career progression.
HoursFull‑time, field‑based role. Nights away from home may be required.
Responsibilities- Visit multiple sites per day to assess electrical substations in urban/suburban areas
- Record data and observations using app‑based systems
- Work independently while supported by safety and management teams
- Deliver accurate, high‑quality fire risk assessments in line with UK safety legislation
- Undertake 3D imaging scans of each site (full training provided)
- A full UK manual driving licence (essential)
- Comfortable with lone working and being on the road up to 5 days a week
- Confident using mobile technology and digital reporting tools
- Reliable, self‑motivated and safety‑conscious
- Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment, or NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
- Previous experience in fire safety, utilities, or health & safety is welcome
- Right to work in the UK – RSK does not sponsor visas
