As a Spacecraft Electronics Engineer, you will design and integrate custom components for our next‑generation satellite platform, collaborating closely with software, mechanical, and third‑party fabrication teams.
What You’ll Do- Electrical design of spacecraft electronics – gathering requirements, defining architecture, and developing detailed designs.
- Component selection and circuit‑level design, including simulation as needed.
- Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
- Power supply and monitoring circuit design.
- Design verification through circuit simulations and worst‑case analysis.
- Signal and power integrity simulation and analysis.
- Peer review of schematics and layouts.
- Board bring‑up, validation, and debugging.
- Support validation and qualification testing of new and existing systems.
- Strong electronics theory and analogue/digital circuitry expertise.
- PCB design – schematic capture, layout, DFM principles, and experience with Altium or equivalent.
- FPGA (Zynq MPSoC/RFSoC or similar) design for high‑speed, high‑data‑rate DSP applications.
- High‑speed digital layout practices (matched impedance, stack‑up, manufacturing restrictions) and SI tool use.
- Experience with digital interfaces (I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, USB, RS485, RS422, Space Wire, PCIe, Gbit Ethernet).
- Rigid, Flex, and Rigid‑Flex PCB design.
- Debugging and fault‑identification skills.
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, VNAs.
- Design for IPC‑6012DS Class 3A or ECSS‑Q‑ST‑70‑12C/60C compliance.
