Senior Hydrogeologist

Join COWI to design a sustainable future as a Senior Hydrogeologist in the UK. Hybrid working – office and home – supports flexibility.

We’re looking for a hydrogeologist engineer to deliver technical deliverables on ground engineering projects. You will model groundwater, parameterise ground conditions and report on hydrogeology, while developing skills in ground engineering and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare desk study reports, ground investigation reports and derive hydrogeological parameters.
  • Develop hydrogeological numerical models.
  • Design and supervise ground investigation.
  • Visit sites as required.
  • Participate in hydrogeological, ground engineering and other relevant company training.
  • Mentor junior staff in the ground engineering team.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in geology (or a similar geoscience) and a master’s in hydrogeology or equivalent.
  • Obtained Chartered Geologist status from the Geological Society or an equivalent title such as Chartered Engineer.
  • A sound understanding of various ground engineering systems and groundwater control.
  • The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Self‑motivated with proficient interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
