The Environmental Manager is responsible to the Programme Manager for all environmental matters throughout the programme lifecycle. This includes a wide range of aspects including involvement in design development and impact assessments, oversight of contractor works on site, support to business case and governance processes, interface with key stakeholders, and coordination with other departments and programmes of work.
This role will sit within the Programme HSQE team, working closely with the H&S and Quality Managers.
What do we need....
* Demonstrable environmental management experience (preferably in civils works).
* Knowledge of the processes associated with EIA, CIRAM, Consents and Planning, ISOBREAM / DREAM / CEEQUAL.
* Document and EMS control experience.
* Good report and documentation writing experience.
* Marine / terrestrial experience with understanding of Scottish environmental laws and regulations.
Desirable Qualifications
* Chartered membership of relevant body.
* SEAT and/or POEMS training
* Experience in a Government environmental body
Location
The role is Hybrid where 3 days per week will be spent either in the office in Glasgow City Centre or onsite in Helensburgh.
