Commissioning Engineer

Where will you be working?

At BGEN, one of the UK’s largest multidisciplinary design & build contractors, you will support clients in water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear & food & beverage industries. Your role will be based across Scotland delivering essential services.

• Deliver smooth, end‑to‑end signal testing across Scottish Water sites.
• Operate plant and equipment to support signal generation and ensure all test documentation is completed and shared prior to work start.
• Maintain clear communication and high‑standard documentation throughout your time on site.
• Support wider commissioning activities, including new MCC installations and rotating equipment.

• Practical, hands‑on commissioning experience.
• Confident with electrical installations from panel wiring to full systems integration.
• Experience in the water industry or other process‑driven environments.
• Commitment to creating a safe, compliant working environment.
• Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., 2382 or 2391).
• SSSTS certification, or willingness to obtain it.
