The RoleThis is a Chemical Engineer Placement Year role within Frazer-Nash’s Engineering stream. The discipline areas include:
- Fluids and Thermal Engineering
- Process Engineering and Safety
- Nuclear Engineering and Technology
Your projects could include:
- Design of process equipment for packaging and storage of nuclear waste
- Ensuring safety of novel devices to produce hydrogen
- Assessing environmental dispersion of chemicals or radionuclides in accident scenarios
- Assessing integrity of nuclear power station equipment for extended life
- Predicting cooling flow effectiveness in an aerospace jet engine
Those selected will receive training, mentoring and coaching to support development into well‑rounded consultants and will be supported to achieve professional accreditations, including chartership with one of our partnered institutions.

You will need to be on track to obtain a 2:1 Degree or higher (or equivalent/experience) with a related Engineering or physical sciences bias.
