- Coordinate and oversee the planning and execution of sea trials for defence vessels;
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and logistics teams to ensure readiness of equipment and personnel;
- Monitor sea trial activities, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards;
- Analyse trial outcomes and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for improvements;
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal stakeholders and client representatives;
- Support engineering assessments and provide technical input during trials;
- Ensure compliance with MOD and naval standards throughout the trial process.
- Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW) certification
- HNC/HND or equivalent in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Naval Architecture
- Additional naval or defence-related qualifications are advantageous
- Significant experience in defence shipbuilding, naval operations, or maritime engineering
- Strong coordination and administrative skills with excellent communication abilities
- Proven ability to manage complex operational activities under pressure
- Mechanically biased with strong understanding of ship systems
- Familiarity with Warship platforms and MOD standards
- Experience working with naval clients or in a defence consultancy environment
- Knowledge of sea trial instrumentation and data analysis tools
- Petty Officer grade or above with relevant experience
- British nationality or citizenship (due to security clearance requirements)
