Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of welding procedures and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize welding processes for efficiency and quality.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to welding personnel during project execution.
  • Analyse and troubleshoot welding-related issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in welding.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and documentation related to welding operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in welding engineering within the Oil & Energy sector.
  • Expertise in welding techniques, codes, and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of metallurgy and materials science as applied to welding.
  • Proficient in the use of welding simulation and analysis software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to develop and mentor junior engineering staff in welding practices.
